So I've had a lot of things happen this weekend, i know I'll forget something but whatever
I'll start with Friday. We had Scott Smiley come to school, which was pretty sweet to hear from him. I cannot believe that a 4th grade girl asked him, after 40 minutes of speaking, "Are you still blind?" Yeah, obviously not the most observant person haha.
Friday afternoon: I had an interview with my optometrist, Miles McCartney, about career stuff. Likes, Dislikes, Competition to get into college, you know, basic stuff. So that got me pretty excited about being an optometrist, and I get to go in on October 15 to shadow him, which is going to be tight.
Friday night: We beat prep!!! Honestly, I was not expecting that at all, because prep is supposed to be really good. So I guess I underrated our football team.
Then we went to IHOP. I normally wouldnt bring up where i went to eat, but for some reason it seems like after football games I need to eat, a lot. I normally eat a decent amount, not a ton, but friday nights I have been destroying my meals. Its ridiculous. I then procede to mooch food off of other people, which is always interesting.
I dominate at volleyball. Nuff said.
I went to Hannah Croskreys house for her 18 bday party, which was pretty cool. We watched disturbia, so I now know how to be a grade A stalker. Then we hung out, played some board games from childhood. It was a nice experience.
I went to NVC this morning, since it is my last week of summer schedule at bethel. Next week teaching starts, but I might not teach as much this year. It was the opening week of New Vintage, and Matt Molt gave a great sermon on grace. Afterwards there were delicious pastries and some Pikes Place Roast Coffee. I love a church that knows whats up in the coffee area.
I then went to Bethels youth group Intersect again since I knew it would be a regular week. Thank God, I was quite pleased to find a normal youth group with a sermon, worship, and break out groups. I appreciated it.
I got home, and decided it was time to execute the paln that I had been formulating throughout the day. It was time to ask Danielle to Homecoming. At 845. I had debated for a while on how I would ask her. I had an idea from Scott Pilgrim, an idea from Anchorman, and an idea from Date Night. I decided on Date Night. I grabbed a broom, like the senator in date night, went to her house, and left a broom and a sign that said 'me and this broom, we keep our promises...and we are asking you to HOMECOMING'. So I ding dong ditched and waited for her to see it before coming out. She said yes, so that pretty much made my day.
Sorry to bore y'all with my weekends events if your not into that, but whatever, if you are reading this you obviously didnt get too bored.
What do you mean "thank God i was quite pleased to find a normal youth group" ?!
ReplyDeleteI meant I was pleased to find a normal youth group AT BETHEL. If you read my other posts I said it had been weird the past few times I went. I wasnt implying anything about other groups, like nvyc(which is sick)
